The Johnston County Judicial Community will host the Supreme Court of North Carolina as part of the Court's Bicentennial Celebration.
To commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the North Carolina Supreme Court, during 2019, our state's highest court has conducted sessions all over the state. On November 22, the Supreme Court will hear Civil and Criminal Oral Arguments at two sessions in the Historic Courtroom of the Johnston County Courthouse in Smithfield. The first case will begin at 9:30 a.m., and last until 10:30. After a break, a second case will be heard from 11 a.m. until 12 noon.
