CELEBRATION OF THE 19TH AMENDMENT - WOMEN’S RIGHT TO VOTE
On August 18, 1920 the 19th Amendment was finally ratified giving WOMEN THE RIGHT TO VOTE. This is the 100th Anniversary of this most momentous event.
We will have some special guest speakers that you will not want to miss. The DWJC Executive Team will be dressed in period attire. We encourage you to do the same and enjoy the fun! You can choose the 1920s, when the 36th state, Tennessee, ratified the amendment making it law in the United States…..or choose the 1970s when North Carolina finally voted to ratify the Amendment! Decorate the room behind you to commemorate this day. Even though we are unable to do this in person, it will be fun to see everyone through Zoom!
This will be a fun evening. Invite your friends! Plan to join us for our monthly meeting via Zoom on TUESDAY (not our normal Thursday), August 18th @ 6:30pm.
Please click on this link to sign up. The Zoom link will be emailed to all of those that have registered the day before the meeting.
