FROM Shawntay Anthony

NCDP Coalition & Community Engagement Director:

I am thrilled to invite you to our Sixth Annual Women of Color Leadership Forum: Rural Access in North Carolina!  Every year we host insightful speakers and shed light on the unique lived experiences of being a Woman of Color in North Carolina, navigating our socio political journey. This year, it will be no different; the NCDP recognizes the vast contributions of Women of Color to the Party and is pleased to welcome you to this forum taking place virtually on Saturday, August 19th at 10 am.

Our focus is on rural access and the pivotal role Women of Color play in our rural communities. The forum will include meaningful panel discussion topics critical to diverse rural communities aiming to connect Women of Color with one another and to bring progress to our state. We will focus on Western North Carolina and honor the impact of Women of Color from the area.  Our guest speaker is Western North Carolina, Afro-Indigenous native, Ms. La'Meshia Whittington-Kiminski, and we are excited to have her share her knowledge with us!

We had a fantastic turnout last year, and this time, we're determined to make it even bigger and better. Your presence and insights are crucial as we strive to defend the Governor's mansion and break the supermajority.

Join Women of Color from across the state for an inspiring and empowering event. Secure your spot by registering at ncdp.org/woc.

We must continue the legacy of our foremothers and drive North Carolina forward.

Looking forward to seeing you at the forum!
