Join fellow Johnstonians at 4:00pm on March 31, 2024 at the Johnston County Courthouse on the corner of 2nd and Market Street in Smithfield to celebrate the International Transgender Day of Visibility and build power.

We will welcome the executive director of the LGBTQ Center of Raleigh, a youth LGBTQIA+ leader from Hope for Teens, and a speaker from the NAACP of Johnston County. Speakers from each organization will share information about local resources available to transgender Johnstonians as well as an uplifting message with the audience about transgender and nonbinary identity.

Any and all allies are welcome to attend and celebrate. We feel that it’s important and worthwhile for cisgender Johnstonians to celebrate this holiday alongside transgender Johnstonians. We welcome all people who foster empathy for fellow human beings in Johnston County to attend in solidarity.
