THIS FRIDAY: The North Carolina Court of Appeals is going to hear the merits (or lack thereof) of Jefferson Griffin's crusade against more than 65,000 voters' right to have their ballots counted. They aren't giving the public the option to view it in person - well, fine. We'll just organize to watch it virtually.
Please join us for a Zoom watch party - we're all in this together.
9:45am: Rep. Marcia Morey, a former judge herself, will explain the case and what to expect in the hearing
10-11am (estimated end time): We'll watch the livestream of oral arguments together
11-11:15am: Rep. Morey and Cat Lawson (NCDP Strategic Counsel and Voter Protection Director) will debrief with us.
Democracy dies in darkness. We look forward to shining a light with you.
