Since 2005, Johnston County Democrats, Team #033, have participated in the Relay for Life. Again, this year, along with support from the Democratic Women of Johnston County, we once again are a part of this event.
The July 16, 2021 Traditional Relay (activities around the Smithfield Selma Senior High School) was postponed to Sunday October 10, 2021 from 6PM - 9PM at the front of the high school with luminary bags to line some driveways.
Cathy McCormick, Coordinator for Team #033, cannot attend the October10th event so things are changing up this year for Team #033 and hopefully will encourage more community participation from our Johnston County Democrats. We can even talk politics!
On the following evenings September 12th, and October 3rd from 6pm to 8pm, Cathy will host other Team #033 members, family and others who want to stop by. Since it will be an outside event (no rain-dates) please bring your own chair and refreshment. We will honor the memory of our departed loved ones and honor those we know who are currently fighting Cancer.
